A little bit of drama for the day...
Tomorrow is Australia Day. Over a week ago, I asked my grandmother if I could use their granny-flat on the water, next to the pool. She said yes, as long as I was happy to share with my relatives if they wanted to come down. Today, my relatives show up, with bags full of food and clothing, and while I’m on the way out the door they ask me what I’m doing tomorrow. I mention that I want...
boundto-fall asked: Art thou voluteering today? I have a feeling today is going to be even longer than yesterday. /extreme sadface.

Reblog if you want your followers to ask you...
boundto-fall asked: I'm keeping the question you asked me, until I can think of an answer. I have spent the last hour at work trying to think of one, but alas, nothing!

seraphicseduction asked: Dude. I reactivated my OK cupid account so I could delete it and RAGZ is ON IT. RAGZ. AND he was all like "hey, you seem like a really cool person to hang out with!' Not sure if he knows it's me or not. Got some LOLZ. (PS, sent you the website for my hostel to your twitter PMs - mass use of various social networks to send info FTW)

Finally getting around to watching season 7 of...
I knew this season would be tough, because it marked the exit of my favourite character, Adam Carter (played by the delicious Rupert Penry Jones). I didn’t know, however, that it would be the first episode, and this particular scene (where Harry Pearce, director of MI-5, wordlessly comforts Adam’s son Wes) would make me cry…
capsy asked: tuesday? or wednesday fellow tumblerian?
annieletsnotwait asked: Thanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to my list!
I love these 'prequels' 'sequels' and similars. I almost bought 'Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters' and 'Little Vampire Women' this week. (I decided to buy that Stieg Larsson trilogy instead).
P.S. 87 books? You are my hero! =D

New Year's Resolutions
Usually, I stick with the one resolution I know I can keep. It involves writing down everything I spend in a little journal and adding it all up at the end of each week, then by each month at the end of the year, to see how much I’ve spent. This year, I have a few more resolutions up my sleeve, and I’m hoping I can keep most of them.
Get a job.
[slightly dependent on 1.] Move out.

I swear, this woman will drive me to murder!
Last week, in her tirade, my grandmother accused me of doing nothing without being asked (yeah, like I can read her twisted mind ever). Today, as well as job hunting, I unstacked the dishwasher, wiped down the kitchen, packed up the mattress and bedding left on the floor by my aunts, and packed away the Christmas tree (which took over an hour because of someone doing weird things with the tinsel...
radioactiveginger-deactivated20 asked: I just feel that I needed to add you just because you are radioactivepink and I'm radioactive ginger. It just seemed to be destiny! That is all.
thechocolatebrigade-deactivated asked: 1. Have you ever had a dream where you died? Did anything weird happen to your body after it? What's the scariest dream you've ever had? How about the most realistic?
2. What is one moral or belief you have that you know will not change? What is one thing you used to believe in, that you no longer do? Is it easy for someone to change your mind, or are you usually firm in your...

On Religion...
Red: Just had an amusing conversation with the oldies [his grandparents] about religion.
Me: Uh-oh...like what?
Red: They're both athiests but Betty said something like "Actually, if hell existed, I'd probably end up there, but at least it would be easier to bake things!".
Me: [laughing] That's classic!
Red: Yeah, she said it so innocently. It was priceless.
Me: I do have to agree with her though, would make my constant baking much easier.
Red: Yes, as soon as she said it, I thought of you.

New Books I Read In 2010
[Bold = really liked it, italicised = didn’t like it. I’ve managed to get them in chronological order, though I fear there’s a few missing! Also, this obviously doesn’t include any books I re-read…]
Three Tales of Cranford: Cranford, The Cage at Cranford, and The Moorland Cottage by Elizabeth Gaskell
Cravat-A-Licious by Matt Preston
