So we saw Easy A tonight. It wasn’t a fizzle, it was definitely a BANG! Not quite your average teen movie, this is the story of the ‘invisible girl’ (a high school stereotype I can relate to) who accidentally starts the rumour mill gossiping about her losing her virginity when she is basically pushed into admitting to it (when she hasn’t done anything) by her so-called best friend. I really enjoyed this movie - Emma Stone is brilliant as the ‘adulterous’ Olive; Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson epitomise the off-beat yet supportive parents; and Penn Badgley is just adorable as her massive crush ‘Woodchuck’ Todd (so nicknamed because he is the school mascot). Plus, how can a movie be bad when it references 80s teen movies (Say Anything, Sixteen Candles, and The Breakfast Club)?!Seriously, if you weren’t considering seeing this movie, PUT IT ON YOUR LIST!
